Envisioning Transformations in North Carolina’s Coastal Plain

On April 24th, the Coastal Resilience and Sustainability Initiative hosted the Envisioning Transformations in North Carolina’s Coastal Plain workshop, which was sponsored by the Office of University Interdisciplinary Programs. Harnessing the power of the Climate Solutions Collaborative, more than 100 NC State faculty, staff, graduate students and partners participated in the collaborative climate futuring event. The highlight of the event was an ambitious gamification approach to eliciting research, education and engagement needs and opportunities to support just and sustainable transformations in the coastal plain between 2030 and 2100.
