The proposed research will provide significant new information on the demand for older workers and how the aging of the workforce is requiring firms to modify their employment conditions and compensation programs. A key element of the analysis is to document how firms in different industries and of different sizes are responding to the aging of the labor force and the desire of employees to delay retirement.
